Battlefield Modding Tutorials BFMODS

I am trying to make a midway ctf for basic bf42.

I read on the forum about procedure, added ctf.con to midway.rfa
added new midway_004.rfa with conquest info in a ctf folder

packed back with winrfa (rfa explorer would crash at startup).

now bf42 would not load.

Do I MUST make "True Testing Enviroment" ?

what am I missing?

If you renamed the map incorrectly bf wont load.
If you have the file structure wrong bf probably wont load.
The only files in the ctf folder should be objectspawns.con and objectspawntemplates.con.
Will BF start if you only remove the 004 patch or is the original also causing the crash?
If you cant find the problem host the rfa somewhere and post the link here for us to take a look at.

The file structure is wrong, what you should have done is click on Pack>Directory and then browse to the bf1942 folder, click on it once then choose ok then Pack so that the file structure in the rfa is Bf1942\Levels\Midway\etc.
The Midway_004.rfa should also have the same file structure not Bf1942\Levels\Midway_004\
You can fix this easily by extracting the contents of the rfa and putting it in a levels folder in a Bf1942 folder, then follow the instructions above.
Next you will be looking at spawnpoints, if this is for DC use the tutorials, otherwise check the in this forum and for ideas.

not there...
1/ changed init.comof midway.rfa.... no changes still got german flag
2/ tried adding properties as specified in your link but what file shall i modify?
I tried ObjectSpawns and ObjectSpawnsTemplates but it had no visible action?

3/ are there existing shotgun?
