I am trying to edit the materialmap.raw for B-edge in the DC_Final mod and when I bring up the image in photoshop it is just a black image with some small detail that can only be seen when I zoom way in. dose anyone know how to edit the out of bounds using photoshop and if so how is it done and saved so that I can places it back into the RFA? |

Use BC42, open mapname, copy map to ssm, open map ssm, press F2, select a material and paint it where you want it, save map, close BC42. Open WinRfa, open org mapname_003.rfa,open, select "extract/all", chose a place to unpack it, open, map ssm, mark materialmap.raw, select "extract/selected", chose same place to unpack it, now select pack/directory and save it as mapname_005.rfa. or Read tutorial. or Open it with notepad and see how it looks, it's all the same caracters=that's why it's all black in photoshop. That means it's no shortcuts. |

If you can't use battlecraft, how can you edit material maps then??? It's like saying, I have to drive to work but I will use my toaster to drive there. Do you see my point! You can't drive a toaster. //edit Due to some one only reading what he likes, I have to ad to this post. "Edit maps" should be edit out of bounce area in maps. I thought it was understod due to the topic. red text is added. |
