I have been playing with the helicopters pilot seat, trying to disable the pilot from switching to another position, e.g. Apache Pilot switching to Gunner Pos. or Blackhawk Pilot switching to Gunner, in order to bring a little more realism to gameplay.

I believe its has to do with pcoid, but i ask for some advice from somebody who knows.

It can be done SS, and of course any help is appreciated.

Are you making the player entry positions possible only when the vehicle is landed ?

Look at the objects.con for the player positions and change the entry locations so that entering the pilot position 1 coordinates are in front of the chopper 0/0/5.

Then make the position 2 entry ( gunner ) coordinate towards the back of the vehicle 0/0/-5

The Commanche choppers for the DC_MrMagoo mod are like that for the 2 position gunships ( pilot & gunner ) and the 6 position ( transport/attack ).

actually, what i am trying to to is,

once a player commits to being the pilot of a chopper , he shouldnt be able to change position within the vehicle, and additionally i want to disable the exit of pilot, avoiding the chopper being abandoned by the pilot, leaving the passengers behind.
I have seen this on other servers being done serverside, but i cant get a grip on where to start ...

you can't get out of the planes on that

'ObjectTemplate.HasRestrictedExit' makes sure the player cannot exit though a wall, and glitch into a building, kinda like what the mortars do on DC.
So, if there is a wall beside the exit point, the player cannot exit at all, or is exited at another area close to the exit point, but not within the allowed boundaries.

in order for the pilot not to be able to exit , one can use a senseless exitlocation, main prob is the unable to switch position thingy :(

well i dunno if its serverside, but you can set everything from the Entry points, to the exit points, like when you get out of a tank, he comes out on top near the hatch, or enter a car near the side door instead of anywhere...
