Post subject: | Moving Axis main base to island (Al Khafji Docks) |
Hallo all, I wish to modify the Al Khafji Docks CTF map, so that the Axis spawn point is on the island, and the rest of the mainland spawn points are random for the Allies. How can I move the mainbase spawnpoint for Axis to the island? If this is not possible, then how can I de-activate it and create a locked-vehicle spawnpoint on the island for Axis as the only spawnpoint? Of course, the Axis capturable flag also needs to be moved to the island. ![]() Any insights into this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Vindaloo |

You can move the ctf flag by changing the coordinates in ctf.con, (you will need to get this from the Desertcombat levels folder) and gametypes/ctf.con. Unfortunately there is no flagpole on the island and you can't add one serverside, there is a tree and a couple of buildings tho........ As for soldier spawns, you can find the island spawns in conquest/soldierspawns.con, make a note of them and then in ctf/soldierspawns.con replace the axis 'warehouse1' coordinates with the island ones, there is 1 extra warehouse1 spawn so change the coordinates to something like the island ones. You can also replace some of the allies with the axis warehouse coordinates to spread them out a bit. You can't add more or rename soldierspawns. |

I think the way it works is, control points, soldierspawns, sounds, textures, static objects etc are all handled clientside, so if the client doesn't have the info in their map.rfa it wont show up. Vehicles, weapons, positions etc are handled serverside, so the client doesn't need the info in their map.rfa. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
