My team's server uses this mod and we pretty much just ignore the hanging planes and chalk it up to taking the good with the bad. It's worth having some ghost planes hanging than to have every tard on the team camping the main bases. It doesn't affect gameplay and is more of an eyesore than anything else. We've been using it for months and our members love it and the general response from the public has been positive. If someone doesn't like it, there are tons of other servers without it. It would be nice to remove the hanging planes, but if it's not possible...oh well. |

I have used the settings which have been supplied in the guide, it works quite nicely, seems to be about the same rate as if you go out of bounds. If I do put these mods on the server I will most probably keep that -4 value as its a sharp warning but doesnt go over the top. IMO ![]() |

I change the value depending on the vehicle. Basically I like to allow someone to get away from the main base in time before their vehicle explodes. For most tanks I keep it around a -6, for choppers a -6 or -7, for infantry -6 and for the heavy stuff like c130 -9. You can get about two strafes and then start smoking. |
