You can't change the map names, it will break the map. If you really had to, you can open them up in BattleCraft and use the 'Copy To' function to actually rename it, but then everyone that joined your server would also have to have that map. That's pretty gay you can't add new maps like that to your server ![]() |

As far as i know you can't change the map name on any server, but maybe i'm wrong. But the client would recieve map not found or something like that. |

thanks cc-vortex Yip thats what I thought about the server as welll!!! They say that if they host my map changes i.e a higher rfa number then every other server would also host the same changes ![]() I can understand that part if they only use one install to run the whole server , but it would've been nice of them to advise that no mods could be uploaded! No blackpop either, I dunno if we're gonna just sack our current server provider or just bite the bullet until BF2 comes out. ![]() ![]() ![]() thanks again m8ty ![]() |

How does the El Ala day 2 work? It is not a complete map, yet it has a differnt name? Clients would probably have to dl it but, there might be something in there. |

El Al day 2 is pretty complete, excet it misses soem files like the heightmap. But the DC team just pointed to the original one, in the file called Init/Terrain.con. |

oh ok, just a thought. I wouldn't say its all that complete, the full el ala is 42MB while day 2 is only 7~8 (depending on which mod). But clients would still have to dl it, so there went that idea. |
