Nope, as far as i know you cant, because the client handles the effects, and thats wut you see, and effect.

Edit: Can't we make the modification on all clients? (during a lan for example)

If you do that, then yes, it would work perfectly, but tthen it isnt a SSm anymore. But if thats not wat you want.
