here's my train of thought:
we've always known that you cannot add object spawners, or soldier spawners, or control points that didn't already exist in the temaplate files for that map and gametype.
when tacoman discovered the Ctf trick... we couldn't figure out why now all of a sudden, we can create object spawners that never existed before (since objectspawntemplates.con does not exist in a Ctf folder on the client end, copying it over on the server from the conquest directory to the ctf directory should have caused client CTDs upon joining). but it didn't...

soo... now we're back to the question of how or why this works and yet don't work..
