I copied the .wav files and .ssc files directly from the mod and they work there.

Ok, so I went over everything and realized that the file paths were correct, but not the same as the rest of DC's. So I fixed that, and in doing so found some files that didn't exist in DCF being referenced in the .ssc files. (they were from the bfm mod) So I replaced them with some DC ones. Now it crashes 1/3 way through loading. I need someone with experience at this to seriously look this over, "start over again" and telling me to do what I already have done aren't really helpful. The debugger says

I don't understand...that is used in all .ssc files at some point.

is this your own mod? Like. have you created your own folder?

If so you'll need to open your init.con for the mod and add in a game path for Vanilla 42 so that it can read vanilla files like silence.wav

This loads as a patch to DCF right now. I got the idea from your bf1942 patches. Either way, after I removed any reference of silence.wav from all of the P90's .ssc files and I still got the error.

You can't do that however, BF1942 needs the sounds to cancel out otherwise it crashes. Check all the sounds in the ssc and look for -1 values on the Effect parameters. Each sound should have at least 1.
