It's impossible to help you on this one. We have no clue what and especially HOW exactly you did these moddings.

The problem is in most cases simple: you made a mistake.

The solution is simple to tell, difficult to do: Doublecheck all the things you changed, check for consistency, spelling errors etc.
Sometimes it also is helpful to read the debugger logfile.

Start your faulty mod, load a map, pick a faulty kit, then exit the game and read the logfile.
Now you should be able to read out any errors or problems the engine encountered during loadup, and possibly some hints where the problem(s) reside.

And yes it only messed up the modded installation's vanilla. I haven't checked the other mods on that installation yet but my pure copy of the game is fine.

And senshi that still doesn't explain why my vanilla 1942 installation has all the same errors. It is as if the game is reading only the vanilla 42 Archives files, and the mod's maps. So when it gets there half the kits are unrecognized but its telling them to be on the list. I've checked, Absolutely ZERO (0) files from my mod's Archives folder are being read. And it's reading the mod's maps in vanilla 42.

I replaced the entire bf1942 folder in Battlefield 1942/Mods and it still does this. It seems to read the init.con of any map in my mod, so it has my own kits, but it doesn't recognize them. The OS.con and OST.con are ignored as are all the files from the mod. The part that makes no sense is that this occurs in the MOD AND IN A PURE BF1942.

It's funny that I can play maps that I've never put in my mod with no problems, and I can also play other mods. Maybe I should post it here and see if it affects other games or if we'll have to live without SW weapons. Or if that isn't even it.
