I'm pretty sure that an internal i.p address won't make a difference. Internal means others cannot connect to it. If you want other pple to connect use ur external i.p address and make sure that your internet security has that port opened for the game allowing output and input for the server.

Lastly if this sti;ll doesn't work i would suggest using BVSM from Black Bag Ops, I use that for my MOD server and it works great. They also have one for BF1942. Download.com has the versions for use.

(NOTE: in BF1942 v1.6 and up, you cannot host mods at least to my recolection b/c of something EA did. I would go back to 1.4)

i am curios if you have tried without the router. that text sounds very much as a standard thing they put in, but as why said it can be they blocked your conn for to many simultaious conns on one port. i think that the port used to surf may not be blocked if thats the case but i dont know if that can be used for a bf server.

try phone your isp maybe?

Worked for me....I rent a server now but I ran one from my comp in 1.6 with mods (both SSM and DC).

a) Fail at properly port forwarding.
b) Have an ISP that does not want you to run servers.
