My mind thinks in SSM not CSM.

I understood your question as CSM not SSM.

Why not call the gun...um....CarbonBurst or StarBurst or BuildingBurst or LadderBurst or RockBurst?

The mod sounds fun...you r just looking for creative ideas on how to burst stuff.

Post your map and let us review it for ideas?

you must make all your spawnable objects DESTRUCTABLE,

THEN, take one of the hand weapons, An accurate weapon would be best, and make it super powerful so that it can destroy any object you want, and VIOLA look...you have a destroyer gun. Your never gunna get a gun that destroys a certain object or group of objects...you'll get one gun that is universal.

...yea...but...who in the world want's to spend the hours trying to sort out which materials do damage to what objects...i certaintly wouldnt, id rather have the universal gun.

It is these weird and wonderful material manager ideas that I am after!!

Comprehension is a beautiful thing.. Can you suggest how your discoveries cold help please, Urglub? It sound like you have the knowledge here on this one.

I guess the player could have several weapons for different levels of destruction. Time is plentiful so not an issue here. I'm open to the most complicated ideas imaginable just to achieve something a bit more special in bf42.

Mainly.. I am just trying to get the discussion going to see what ideas come up.

Just to reconfirm, it's not my map.. its the work of one of our guys as is82 :)

This is what you need to read.
Give objects armor and hitpoints.
Look in damagesystem in game.rfa
Find material of object.
If not found, try one after one.

For Pistol to shoot out boxes.
Let's say box have material 81.
Ad damage to pistolprojectile for material 81.

If box have 100 hitpoints.
Give pistolprojectile 20.
(I think it's 5 in material definer, 5x20=100)
Want it to die in two shots, 10.

And so on.

hehe.. I am liking this :)

Thanks, Will try it. I guess it needs a fun visual projectile when actually using the gun.. lightning bolt etc :) will try and model one.. or I guess it could be created with effects.. I realise I am this irritating csm invader to the site but... any effects people here? ;)
