Wireless is no different than wired, except it usually drops quite a bit of packets over a distance. Unless you have 100% connection, something will get lost. Does it really matter? Not particularly, but your specific situation may manifest a varying degree of contrast.

i did use portforward.com but can i make a server if i get the router down and use cable to it? i am getting it down soon

to kitty and the rest, maybe pink did have problems, maybe he didnt do anything wrong, maybe yall just got lucky? me, i tried using wireless, i run a server, have for some time, wireless sucked, great for laptop, world at the touch of your fingers anywhere in the home, even tried using the wired ports for server to no avail, did just about everything i could with no luck, gave the router away and went back to my old faithful wired, so yall dont be so mean, some may have these problems even if some dont...

i changed my ip to 192.168.3.139
i opned teh port that stayd in portforward.com on my ip, im wondering , is there anything i goto do with my firewall?

i got a new router.. linksys WRT54GSV4 and i am on cable to it.. i really need help.. im not sure on this, i opned ports on the ip for my pc.. meaning i gone open for teh router?
