well when we are talking about network code, i was trying once to get that bloody siren quite in BOB, and sure i managed to get it muffled, only problem was the factory got invisible to. the factory was still there an all but it was to weird to be usefull. now i was thinking what about if one did the same to a tank or something, would it still be there like invisible? or maybe it would just pop out the soldier again when entering? could be cool to a crazy mod if it works somehow.

remmed out the networkcode for the factory. it didnt help to rem out just the siren.

If you rem out the networkable things from a engine you can add them to a vehicle. The rocket engines used for nitro in BF42 all have no networkable info. That was your find Losnar. It also explains how you can spawn more then 6 flags by duplicating them, they have networkable info. So you could make a spawner to spawn flags, in theory.

The networkable info is not the decisesive part.

Barbed wire has networkable info but can't be spawned,
because there's info to be transferred when a soldier hits
the wire. The same goes for explodable buildings and so.

So the only part that makes the true distinction is the PCO
part. And all PCO's have also networkable info attached.

Since the presence of a spawnable object is fully controlled
by the server, only PCO's can be added severside. So we can
only add PCO's as statics by spawning them and demobilizing
them by using the active template to redefine them (i.e. let
nobody enter the driverseat like is explained in one of the basic
tutorials).

This also means that somebody has to release an upgrade on
all static objects, like sandbags, AT statics and so on to make
BF1942 more beautifull for SS-modders. But also this opens the
possibility to rearrange defences according to the party that
holds the objective (flag).

I would say that would be 8-)

That is not true since you CAN spawn flags, which are not PCO's
