Played it thoroughly with friends (one of the very few shooters I played extensivly on console, I have to confess. I don't touch many console shooters

). Of course you can turn around fast, but you always have the problem of reaching a maximum turn rate. Gamepads (and Joysticks, for that matter) only have to absolute maximum/minimum values of turn speed and of course a very fine gradation in between. With a mouse, you are only limited by your ability to accelerate the mouse or the capability of your laser to register the movement...This comfortably allows a incredibly smooth and precise movement for mid/long range combat on the hand while still allowing to instantly be active in close combat by just thrusting your mouse around.
