The reason why walls appear to have only one 'solid' side is to do with the
normals of the
faces. You can add a
normal modifier and
flip the normals over to get them to face the other way... if you find the normal modifier and play with it you will see what I mean). Basically for any walls you want solid on both sides you have to '
clone' the faces (that make the wall) and then 'flip the normals on the cloned version'. When you then attach the original wall and the flipped wall.. both sides are 'solid'. I say 'solid' in quotes because it is solid in appearance but as you get to use max more you will see that its all about normals and faces...
hmm.. this stuff is tricky to explain but if you get in there and try to find what im talking about it will start to make sense..
anyway.. post more pics.. maybe even photoshop on where you are trying to make holes, position stuff etc..
