Battlefield Modding Tutorials BFMODS

Yes, server side modding is all we have left. If you make a new mod, NOBODY WILL PLAY IT. Maybe you and 3 or 4 of your friends, but it will not catch on. There are some vanilla servers left that are well populated, several DC servers, maybe one FH server, and all other mods are usually dead or have just 1 official server that never populates well. I remember BF Pirates, that was an amazing mod, and I helped run a few servers back in the day for it, but over time it just died and now there is never anybody playing it.

But I still believe that vanilla 1942 and DC will continue to exist and have servers for quite some time. There will always be players. If anything, I will be the last one sitting there running a BF1942 server off of a spare computer.

Why, you might be happy to know that a league our team plays in (BFCL) would occasionally have 'pirates nights'...and hell i think there's a clan (CT) that is a pirates clan. Some of our guys played them a few weeks ago on pirates. I think bfcl was talking about a pirates ladder.

Well Iced, mrhowdoimod and I are still doing that. You just randomly dropped out, but we haven't stopped. It's designed for COOP anyway, since obviously nobody is going to play it except a few people I know. You actually can mod bots to be smarter than the average noob. Unfortunately, there's some kind of bug in our mod which makes it unplayable, and that we can't find.

dice did a good game, then they was bought up by EA. dont think they have much to say bout it anymore, now its just milking the shite out of the name battlefield.
