i have tryed every single port i find for 1942, i have even tryed connecting to modem only and port forwarded it to! and it still didnt work. i find out my modem was a router aswell, just that the other lan socket is for USB. it may be the company dont let people forward because they dont want traffic, but i dunno. *EDIT* i am just goen host server with hamachi now :/ i know it aint good but its what i have to. |

to answer Why, yes it should be instant, but there are times when it does take a while to show up for some reason, i and some other "home server" owners have had it happen; now to silver, what operating system are you using for your server, Windows XP, Vista, what? *edit* i searched your "ROUTER"l inksys WRT54GSV4, it tells how to set it up here: http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... d_1942.htm |
