in ur map, make sure gamemodes.con includes a path to a ctf.con file and a folder like for the other gamemodes conquest, singleplayer, tdm ...

server will then list ctf automatically, it reads gamemodes.con

Forgive me, but I'm not sure where the gamemodes.con file you're referring to, is located. Please elucidate further...thanks.

k, unpack ur level

structure should look like this

bf1942/
------levels/
----------->Name of ur Level</
-----------------------------GameTypes,Conquest,TDM,SinglePlayer etc.

Inside the folder Gametypes are the con files for every gametype available in this map.
So u need to add one for CTF in there.

I'm not sure if a new CTF map can be created without a client download:

I was finally able to get the CTF map to show up in my server manager, but only after I added a ctf.con file to the /Game Types/ folder in the original Market_Garden.rfa file on my server. Then, on the clientside, the game would close after loading 50% of the map - no go. I copied the newly modified Market_Garden.rfa to the levels folder on the client, and the maps loads fine, but I suspect that the client would no longer be able to join an original Market Garden server game.

So, I think the only thing to do is create a separate Market_GardenCTF.rfa set of files and make them available for download somewhere. If anyone has been able to get the map to load without a client download, I would appreciate seeing your patch file, Market_Garden_00x.rfa, so I can try it out. Thanks.
