I think it has something to do with the fact that the soldier had no reason to die, yet the vehicle still lost all its health.

I recall this on a modded coral sea
The death bubble killed you if you went tot he enemies carrier
Redatwar knows about it
he fixed it 'I think'.
So ask Red when hes around

There is a similar problem I've been having in DCF .8, where my F16 seems to explode twice roughly half the time it is destroyed by weapons fire, never when it crashes. For example, a Shilka destroyed my F16 as I was flying, and it exploded, and lost controls/engine power, but I didn't die and the _wreck mesh and skin didn't load. I had time to bail out and survived to see it explode AGAIN, this time completely though. (All Armor effects triggered) Any ideas wtf happens there?

I'm glad you explained that, it was driving me nuts but I was too lazy to find out why. Maybe it's to simulate the plane's engines going out and possibly a fuel explosion before the plane is completely destroyed...I'm just talking and not making sense I know. I do know that the first few times it happened it scared the crap out of me but once I got used to it my # of deaths went way down in dogfighting maps.
