Hey guys,

It's been a long time - I got out of 1942 (Desert Combat) for a while and then came back. We're looking to mix stuff up again on our server, so I'm re-learning everything I knew before. A coiuple issues I was hoping you might be able to help with:

1. We have an issue on Wake (DC) where the ammo boxes don't resupply and the health cabinets don't heal. We haven't actually modded anything on these maps, so I don't know how they could have gotten messed up, but that's how it is. Can someone help me figure out what I might be able to do to get them working? At this point, it's been long enough that I can't say for sure that they Ever worked. Since they're unmodified, I googled but it didn't seem to be a widespread issue, and I didn't see anything here about it, either.

2. On Guadalcanal (DC) the allied hangar doesn't repair the planes, but the axis hangar repairs both. I looked at the code and to my untrained eye they *seem* OK but I'm not positive. Another unmodded map. Again, any assistance is appreciated.

I was stoked to find someone is still out here keeping things alive after all this time has passed.

Hi there,

If somebody serversidemodded the static objects like removing ammoboxes and health cabinets,
these will show up at the playersmap and will be inactive from the serverside.

I know this because I have done this for a map myself.

The maps haven't been touched - we always _010 everything and these are pristine, at least I can say they are default desertcombat conquest maps.

Thanks anyway though.

Any other ideas? Anyone?

Are you being serious?

We've only modded certain maps and Wake isn't one of them. We've never modded objects.rfa or anything other than map files. Ammo and health work on every other map as expected. If the workings of those is common to all maps then what is a reload going to do?

Just looking to understand the suggestion.

Roger - I'm going to grab a fresh copy of wake from an install on another box and try that first; if that doesn't do it I may end up doing the whole deal.

Make a patchfile, and put in the mediclockers and ammoboxes where they should be? Then upload via ftp
Probably not the best way, but I'm sure it would fix :P
