OK, Iced, before I mess with this I wanna make sure I understand. And I don't have time now anyway. =) So you want me to:
1. Copy my Battlefield 1942 installation directory (the whole thing).
2. Make a folder on my desktop, call it BF1942 2 or something, paste the copied files in there.
3. Make a shortcut to the levels folder (the levels in the BF1942 2 file) on my desktop. Call it "Levels 2"
4. Make another shortcut to the original BF1942 levels folder on my desktop. Call it "Levels 1"
5. When I mod a map, I make an extracted version with the files I want in it through Winrfa. So I'll put my extracted file (like El_Alamein_005.rfa) in the "Levels 2" folder. Mod it. Then I just switch it into the Levels 1 folder, correct? So with the highest El Al number, my BF will recognize that as the one it loads. And that should be the test? But what is different about that? Before I could test it fine and when I put it on the real server it crashed.
I'll try all this stuff Iced, with the code you gave me. Let me know if you have anymore suggestions, I'll let you know if it works. Thanks dude.
P.S. Don't be a quitter at life... geez lol it's just a mod.
