well that worked quit well thanks for the help now one more question!

when i go to mod anything in the desert combat searius i can not see some of the props/treemeshs/vehicals/etc and i am thinking im missing a file? i can see everything but some side walks some trees all of the vehicals like i said you think u have a solution to this?

and i can only place battlefield 1942 stuff vehicals etc unless i just place another object from the objecttemplate

there is an object list available somewhere for Desert Combat, which needs to be placed inside the Battlecraft directory ... but i wouldnt know where to find it , i don't use Battlecraft.

Also keep in mind, that the DC Maps, that are based on BF1942 Maps, mostly use Static Objects from BF1942 and just add their own vehicles and kits.

It works like so ...

e.g. Gazala

first BF1942 Gazala is "unpacked, then 001, then 003 overwriting and replacing some files.

then Desert Combat Gazala is loaded, again overwriting any files that were created new in DC.

then the level is loaded.

it works just like if u copy one file on another with the same name, only
Battlefield doesnt ask if u want to replace the file, like windows does

ok i see now i think i have the file for desert combat but can you tell me exacley wher i need 2 place it? if you know anyways

OK this is a bit overdone but if u are really into modding do the following

1. reinstall ur whole battlfied including all the mods u want on/in it
!!!DO NOT INSTALL BattleCraft YET!!!

2 check on ur harddrive how much space ur fully installed game+mods takes

3 go to the EAgames folder and right click on it to copy it to a newly made folder called Program Files on another partition of ur harddrive

4 now u will have 2 the same games installed on ur PC u can now install BattleCraft to the newly copied game

5 to make ur copied game work online u just have to enter ur original serial number in E-reg

now u have one game u can always use to play and one game to fully edit in anyway u like

i hope this is a helpfull option for u (spoken by a GAMER/MODDER who has two much reinstallments before i did this )
