Installing MDT tools for 3dsmax was no problem for me... and I did install it in program files. I think I had 3dsmax 6.

So what its been sounding like is that all the people with 3ds max 9 are having problems, and older versions arent. But maybe if we take out the autodesk folder and just put the 3ds max 9 folder in prog. files it will work.

well i tried takeing it out like you said veng, and i put it in program files at first, then just /C: and still nothing, i was looking at the tools and in the readme it says: - 3ds max™ tools require a version of 3ds max™ from 5.1 to 6.x in order to run. hmmm...

Well i got it workin on mine and ive got max 9, i just can't remember how i did it

lol all i do is go File>Extract>.3ds then go to MDT and use the converter

i tested this again after setting up a new PC.

first installed 3ds Max 7 and unlocked it. (Licence key)

then installed Battlefield MDT V2.75-f

started MDT, clicked install 3dsMax Tools.

exit MDT, started 3dsMax7, Battlefield Tools appear on top screen, Tem_BF folder is created.

So what exactly doesnt work, or what do u have a problem with ?

ok, well i have 3ds max 9, not 7 and when i try to select the install 3ds tools, an error msg comes up saying i must have 3ds max version 5 or greater...

and what exactly do u mean by "exit MDT" - are you talking about the install path for the tools?
