Hey guys...I've been looking all day and I cannot find the bf1942v1.61b server HOTFIX. Do you guys know where i can find it or can someone provide it PLEEEEEEEEEEASE??? It should be about 3.24mbs to be the right one.We have abandonded BF2 and are gonna play BF1942 DCFinal for a while but i cant get the server up and stable,it keeps crashing on launch.Ive reinstalled about a hundred times,with the 1.61 patch that you NEED,placed my three mod files in it,DC,DCFINAL and DC realism,only to get about ten seconds into launch looking at a "blah blah blah..has encountered an error...." I know this hotfix is the problem,when we ran this server ,i ran it for a year and a half or so,and the 1.6.9 hotfix is easy to find...but i'll be $&$*^% if i can find the 1.61b HOTFIX! SOMEONE HELP ME ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Nope but thnx for the quick response! I need the hotfix that gets applied 'to' that patch to stop it from crashing on launch. It would be called something like "bf1942_winos_dedicated-hotfix_1.61b". But thnx man.

Well...I got inventive..I was astounded by the fact that if you install the 1.6server,then the 1.61b patch,you get a bf1942ded32 thats 3.24mbs in size......not corrupted,but..as soon as you add mods to the mod folder you can almost watch the DED.exe get overwritten to equal 3.41 mbs...this is the crashing problem.I did a fresh install of the server and the patch and saved the .exe that was 3.24mb,pasted it to my desktop,then placed my mods in the mods folder..DID NOTHING ELSE!!! and went back and looked at the .exe...sure enough it was back to 3.41mb again....weird for sure! so..I made the .exe on my desktop a 'read only' at 3.24mb,pasted in the server files,overwrote,it stayed at 3.24mb and voila,just like the server flashed up and loaded fully!So I guess I made my own damn hotfix!!! Screw EA!
