Hi, I'm trying out some mods in BFV, and starting off simply by replacing the NVA jeeps in Flaming Dart with ZSU's. As I understand it, all i need to do is edit the ObjectSpawnTemplate.con file for the level, incorporate this, as well as the other files in the Patchfile tut (thanks Urglub), put the final patch (002) file in with the others in the "levels" folder and all should be well. Unfortunately, when I try to play this level on the same machine (192.168.1.XXX:15567) it loads almost all the way then says "data differs from server" or similar. When tried from a different machine via "Old Fart Server" in the list (yes it's running at the moment) it says "map is different" or similar. Attached is the patch file I created..... Any help would be appreciated. |

As far as I can see, it's fine. Can you load up OFD fine without the patch? If not, you changed something else. |

Thanks for confirming that I had done most of it correctly. Unfortunately, Mr N00B (me) had modified the ORIGINAL files and saved them, not created a patch and modified the PATCH files. D'OH! All fixed with a re-install (no backup of rfa - D'OH) and all working as intended. Thanks again! |

Also, are you running the server from the same install as your own game? You need to make a separate copy of your game files, put the mods there, and run the server from that. Here's a tutorial on something like that. It's for 1942 but it works the same as BFV. |

Yep, thanks, did that, but managed to delete BOTH sets of rfa's LOL. All up and running now, with just a few more ZSU's on the air maps, to make things a bit more even for the poor infantry.... Check it out - it's called "Old Fart's ZSU Mod Server" |
