Well I typed for 2 hours and made you a tutorial, but this crappy new version of php crashed.
And it was not possible to go back and retreiv info as before.

So now your on your own, I fed up with crap for a while now.

OMG, Dude that sucks. I've had that happen to me before. Of course it always happens when your helping others or writing something of some sort of importance. Now when I find myself writing a long ass post, I copy it to notepad or word pad just incase. I'm sorry man. The good thing is once I know what I'm doing I won't be such a n00b and could help other n00bs.

I've modded rts games in the past. Now I'm learning fps. Any help here won't be a complete waste of time, I will retain the knowledge and be an active part of the modding community. Thanks again.

alas some progress! i got the jeeps to work, their like 2mph faster lol?

And i was able to ad a few more jeeps to lza. But when I try to add tanks = corrupt data

How important is this Pack the files, use patches stuff? I backed up my map the just added the jeep code and more jeeps in the objectspawns.con and objectspawntemplate.con.

Usually Corrupt Data qarning comes on when u try to connect to a server and ur files
are different then what the server loads under that mapname,

As for packing, yes , this is important, like every bit of code is kind of imortant.

I recommend using WinRFA only, since it is 100% bugfree.

how it works:

(example Gazala Map from bf1942)

Game starts , Map called is Gazala, it will then load:

GAZALA.RFA followed by

GAZALA_000.RFA ,files within the 000 patch will overwrite Gazala.rfa files, then

GAZALA_003.RFA , the files in there will again override any ealier loaded files from that map.

Sweet thanks man. BTW, my corrupt data was becase i was adding new templates. Didn't know i could only work with what I had. BUT, I did learn how to manipulate the default template, ALOT of thanks going to you and Urglub.

I brought this up in BF1942, might aswell bring it up here.

This are for all you guys wanting to make a Jeep race map.
There is hope for better traction. traction01.avi
Code is not on vehicle it's on surface.
Jeep on video has 4x4 and harder suspention as tweaks.

Jeep will have so much traction on road that it will tip over.
Might be nessesary to drive with analoge controller now.

When driving on wet grass/mud, it will feel like Bambi on ice.
