I have a problem to ssm irving.

1. In the WebFTP of the server i saw Operation irving + a patch file 001
and i cant delete the patch file, because it dont works than

2. i modified the map with bcv and took all files from the conquest folder (not spawnpointmanager...) and made a patchfile ...002
i tryed to run the server with irving... but it didnt work(after ca 3|4 it breaks up)

3. i tryed it with the original objectspawntemplate file, but it still didnt work

4. i took the objectspawntemplate from the patchfile 001 and modified it for me...it still didnt work

... the problem is denfinitely the objectspawntemplates.con

PS: dont mind my bad english^^

For somebody else with BFV installed: Does Operation Irving, by default patches, have a _001 file already there?

If so, you have to create a new _002 and that's where you do your modding. Under NO circumstances can you make changes in Battlecraft and expect that to work Server-Side, because it gets confused about patch files. You can definitely not save a Battlecraft map as _002, as that will make the server think it's a whole new map and clients will not exactly have much success in play.

Most of the modding needs to be done in a text editor only.

Yes, there is a 001 patch for Irving. All BFV maps except for Fall of Saigon, Defense of Con Thien, Saigon '68, and Operation Cedar Falls have a patch by default. I believe those 4 maps were released in patches of the game after its release.

Yeah, if so, do as I said above. Just make your _002 file manually, and insert the files necessary for modding.

i tryed this: i took the patchfile operation_irving_002 with the original folder structure (Conquest) and a empty ObjectSpawnTemplates.con

I uploaded that and i got an error again.

why? overwrites the server the complete ObjectSpawnTemplates.con?

pls give me an example .rfa patchfile for irving (with conquest folder and the objectsspawntemplates.con)

Your copy of the OST.con must contain all of the same templates as the 001 patch file.

Try doing this tutorial. It will give you a good start to making patch files.

That's not true, I've did server side mods with just the OST.con. But Shadow probably messed up his file structure

I didn't say you couldn't. What I said was that you couldn't remove or add templates, your OST.con file has to have the same templates as the one in the 001 patch. The tutorial is just a good start for learning what to do if you've never done it before.
