hey ive got a quick quick question.

was reading through the tuts, and i was just wonderin, since i didnt find it and all,

how do u get the modded map (just a normal map, not a client map. a patchfile)
into a servers rotation if youve rented a server? and do other people have to have it to play it?

i know, major noobie question, but i have no experiance wiht acutal server side. im more of a clent side person.

assuming that u r talking about a 00x file ...

just upload it into the levels folder on the server.

That does require FTP access

the server will load the 00x.rfa modded map over the original.

there will be no additional enrty in the maplist.

alright thanks. as you can tell im new to putting stuff on servers. i prefer jsut to make my own maps and mod em.

well, um... a friend of mine does... on 1942... and he knows nothing about modding, and i had some modded maps for him...


i had my own server once on my own pc for nam but it laged out and died.
