A few fans of my mod have requested a flame thrower for my server side mod. I believe I have found a way to render it on the client side and have it to the same effect, but I need input on you guys. Here's the idea: Support Class (Regular Support Weapon): First, remove the heat or decrease it from firing. Replace the projectile with the RDX shotgun projectile (this will give the illusion of a flame on the client side). It will be a skinny flame, but it will do the job. set the release speed to something fast like 300. Set the rocket speed to either decrease or set to 0 over time. This is to limit the distance of the flame and stop after so many meters. Remove gravity. Set to "blow up" after 1 second. What do you think? Ideas? |
