hello everybody, im new @ modding this game and i found this site after googling, and i really saw some intresting and great things. but i got a few questions: if i change things in Objects_server.zip, what will be changed? how can i see if it worked out. and how can i test these settings. mayby you guys got a good tutorial about the basics and risks with modding and changing settings. the reason why i want to do this is: im playing aloth of competitive battlefield2 (no public), and the competitive community got some problems with certain things. and i wanna make a server where i can change those problems. for example: make the m16 give 1 shot 1 kill. like the ak-101 i'd like to get some tips and tutorials. tnx anyway greetz, serox |

first off back up all your files I know when I modded bf2 I changed everything back to the way it was and got kicked from all the servers because it knew I ha unzipped the folder so first BACK UP FILES secondly im no sure what yo mean by how do I test these? you just go into the game and see if it worked for example go into your objects_server.zip go to the weapons folders find the m16 and change the round of fire 3 to round of fire 0 this should make the m16 fully automatic then go into the game and test it |
