Well im trying to make a mod, and i hear you can do that, but thus far i havent been able to do anything. I unzip both server and client zips in the same folder, keeping structure, but the game keeps on complaining it can find the gameplayobjects.con file? Anyone any ideas? |

Well unzipping the lot doesnt really help, the game wont find anything. But when i open them up and just add stuff manually it seems to work (i guess so becase the header isnt modified this way(not much atleast)). My guess is that DICE has given zip files a special byte in the header so bf2 can reckognise it as a good .zip file. |

I think it was figured out in another topic, but thanks anyway. The reason i didnt get the unzipping to work was becasue i unzuipped the zips in seperate folders, which you dont have to do. My dir structure looked like : levels\Gulf_of_Oman\Server\ but should have been levels\Gulf_of_Oman\ But rezipping the whole thing astill is not possible. (so as of yet its impossible to create redistributable mods without having to change the original zips instead of creating ur own) |
