When I look in game.rfa\damage_system\, I see the cons that are used for damage. However, what is confusing is I see the 762x39.con, 762x54.con, and the 556.con, but I ALSO see tracer_smallarms.con that seems to deal with 556 bullets and tracer_general.con that seems to deal with 762x39 bullets. Tracer rounds are used just like in real life, they are a light so you can see the shots on night maps, they do cause damage. but all you have to do is change the tracer damage accordingly to the reg projectile. or you might be able to jsut rem the tracer round out and not have to worry about it on...

It looks like these two weapons are entirely defined in objects.rfa. What is it that makes the differences between these two weapons? Thanks Tan. End result: I was able to mod the AK to have the exact same attributes as the M16 in regard to damage, recoil, reload time, etc. That part was easy. The PKM, on the other hand, did not allow me to make ANY changes except the projectile type without crashing the client. So, in the end, it...
