I just finished up a night conversion of Berlin titled: Midnight at Berlin.

It features my headlight sprite, custom lightmaps that add lit interiors and lighted windows, and a new global ambient sound.

This map needs DesertCombat to run.

A day and a half was spent importing the entire map into 3DSMax. But the end result was worth the effort! The advanced lighting makes this so it's not just any ol night map! ;)

The map is a self extractor and should extract to the correct location for you. If you installed the game to a location other then the default install path, then you may need to adjust the path the installer installs to.

Note: If you experience graphical bugs that result in a screwed up HUD, then you need to update your video card drivers. Out of date drivers have been confirmed to cause issues relating to how the headlight sprites are displayed. I can not guarantee this map will appear correctly if you are using a generic video card like the crappy Intel chipset video cards to run the map. As long as you got an ATI or Nvidia card with up-to-date drivers, you shouldn't have a problem!

Yes you can make it for vanilla BF42. Just change the vehicle spawners, kit load out, and mod ID of the map.

You will need to add your own active commands for the vanilla jeeps and tanks if you want headlights on them. (as I did not make any for those vehicles)

i have forgoten how to to the lightmaps on the standard mesh files in 3dsmax... can u please help me out...
