Battlefield Modding Tutorials BFMODS

This mod isn't well known but I think it should be. Its a mod for Battlefield 1942! Brings BF2 vehicles, maps and gameplay to the classic BF42 engine!

First I need to make this clear. I did not create this mod. I have been working on it and improving it by porting BF2 vehicles and statics to enhance the mod. This also includes sound effects. I made many bug fixes and solved a lot of CTDs in network play. (a few maps still crash in multiplayer, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was before I fixed up the mod)

There are virtually no singleplayer CTDs now. Originally a few maps (like Market Garden and Sharqi Peninsula) would CTD during singleplayer mode play. But it's all fixed now!

The original makers were dev team members of the SuperDC mod. Sting and BlackKnife are the lead makers that put together this mod. Sting was the one that did all the menu magic that made this mod really feel like it was BF2. It even has BF2 style loading screen!

I did modify a lot of the menu textures to improve quality and make it look even more BF2 like.

Now to show it off. Here's all the screenshots I have made so far: (Highway Tampa map has been modified to include more BF2 statics and trees! 10 BF2 trees replace all the original vanilla trees used on this map)

Because this mod uses content from a lot of other mods and now uses BF2 content, it is classified as a "underground mod", which means I can't release it publically. BUT I can send it to members via PM or email.

Wow that looks awesome. Keep up the good work. Because its "underground" does that mean you cant put it on a server?

Now this seems like fun.

No limits to game servers. Just the way the mod is distributed. As long as it's not publically accessible by a search engine like google for example, you should be fine. So yes, game servers can be started with no limits!
