Battlefield Modding Tutorials BFMODS

For those that like to fly fast and maneuverable jets, there is now a 43kb file that enables the thrust vectoring Mig-29 OVT, 2 seater F-15 and 2 seater F-16 in the DCX version of Gazala.
It is a server sided modification and it works great.
Thanks to <-VXF-> Big Al for making the file 'Gazala_001.rfa' 43kb.

I know that real jets traveling that fast can't maneuver that well but it sure is a lot of fun flying them thru the canyons and under the bridges of Gazala.

It goes in the DCX levels folder ( C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\DC_Extended\Archives\BF1942\levels ) and it now only works in 'conquest' mode.

You have to click on the bottom where it says free download.

So .. let me get this straigth.

When I host Gazala on DCX .9 , and some1 else joins me who does not have this file, he DOES see those addons ?

I'm new to the whole server thing.

I'm looking for some modded files to host a unique game @ the #2 biggest lanparty of Europe next weekend for like 30 people (yes my PC can handle it).

Do I need the server client too ? or can I just host a local game and that's it ?

Please help me with that =)

You can use these mods an a non-dedicated server too, but dedicated is always better with the eye on performance. Just put the modded files on the system that will run the server, and anyone who joins it will see the mods, they dont need the files. Thats why its called serverside
