Hi,

Actually, I changing some params to a map named DEC_Lostvillage that is totally standalone (no other map dependancy). At every change I need to repack this map with an rfa tool but it's a so boring step.

It's why I'm asking if there is a way to load this map unpacked to save time.

I read on a website that it should be possible if the dir used is <game dir>\Bf1942\Levels\<map name> where <game dir> is the folder where BF is installed but apparently it works only in single play mode (and I want to test a CTF mode).

After packing a map with winRFA I can test.. come out of game.. make changes to to files and then literally hit 'pack' again and the paths are all set.. it takes a few seconds to repack so I don really see where your delay is? what are you using to pack the maps. Without packing the map each time would 'literally' save me 5 seconds.

Only the debugger can play upacked maps. But as you know you can't realy run the debugger in fullscreen nor can you go online with it. But you can use the debugger to do edit maps on the fly and reload the map to see the changes (instead of exiting the game and repacking the RFA).

Once you get the map to what you want you can repack it.

The debugger loads unpacked stuff beginning at the games root, NOT the mod's root folder! So for example level RFAs are loaded from mods/bf1942/your_mod/archives/bf1942/levels

while unpacked levels are for use in debugger are loaded from here:

bf1942/levels
