This certainly make life easy for BF2 now.. There are whispers of '42 arriving too. Im sure that would encourage plenty of people to come back to the game..

neat what exactly does that do?

having it on the steam network makes for fast reinstalls without any patching ever again (..well if another patch does arrive it will auto patch in steam).. it comes bundled with the booster packs too for convienience (free with the patch anyway but this makes it easier..)

plus you can easily install on two pc's.. steam just keeps all your shit together in one place

I hate steam those rat bastards make it near impossible to get torrent games plus the bf2 patches suck 1.5 slows my computer down the the point that I can no longer play it so I have to reinstall and use 1.0 ,which BTW rocks

I do buy games I have all the counterstrikes and half lives but sometime perks are nice

I like steam, even if it is the bain of Torrents. I usually torrent a game, play its singleplayer, and make a decision on whether to buy the full game or not for Multiplayer. Not to mention that a good game, aka, Half Life 2, Drakes Uncharted, regardless of lack of multiplayer, deserves a purchase for their brilliance.

Uhm, name me one Steam game that has not been cracked in the first two weeks after release
