I think my video card is messed up. I was playing '42 fine, then I close out, come back later, start up, and my screen is full of red pixels. I can still see and play the game, the majority is red. However, when trying to take a Print Screen, the pictures comes out perfectly normal, no red at all. When Im at my desktop, I see a normal desktop, but in some places, are lots of flickering red pixels. I have Geforce 9800 GT This only happens in DirectX and DirectDraw games. Is it video card or monitor? |

sounds like the video card is fried, i know nvidia had some problems with the solder in some in some batches http://www.crunchgear.com/2008/09/17/ne ... en-solder/ check the temperature on the graphiccard You should find one under the nVidia settings, Display Props>settings>advanced>nvidia>temps if its high check that the fan working and also clean it for dust it can also be the graphic drivers so try reinstall those first edit: gpu temp program http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ |

I reinstalled my drivers and directx. I recently got a new motherboard. Im using speedfan, and my GPU is 55C, normal. However, two cores show up, one is 30C, on is 55C. Hmm |
