Sounds okay, but definetly an upgrade for you . CPU seems a bit poor in my opinion, but i don't know much about laptops either .

Nothing beats desktop PCs...same price, double the power. Even my almost 2 year old rig beats your laptop...

That's one of the best processors (dual core) you can buy, other than a Core i7. The 9900 is the highest in that series, but it is a $220 upgrade from my current price. Dekstop or laptop this is true. Most desktops would come with a Core i7 for a gaming computer, though. But I don't plan on doing any gaming outside of BF1942 or Audiosurf, and some Source engine stuff, but rarely.

Remember, it's not all about the Ghz rating anymore!

My 2 year old current desktop computer (Athlon64x2 6000+, 2GB DDR2, Radeon x850XT, etc) is significantly worse than this new computer.

It's a laptop because I kinda need a laptop, it's for college. Bringing my current desktop is not exactly an option.

I have a QuadCore Q2800 in my desktop, and it's more than fast enough for any games I have. I din't see why anyone would need to pay all the extra money for a Core i7.
