If you have not played Battlefield 1943 on a console yet, I suggest you either go and get it, or wait till september when it arrives on PC, because it is a load of fun.

I'll get it on PC when it comes out, will they be adding more content than currently available? (more than 3 maps, more theaters?)

It's planned, but not much is granted. Most of this will be made dependant of how sucessful the game will be economically. If loads of guy buy it and demand more, they sure as hell will deliver more. But probably want some more cash for that...yet to be seen what their big strategy is...the game is fun, but there is still much that can go wrong on the path along...

I have it for xbox 360. Its good, but I had to put it on my brothers 42" plasma to see anything. I'm not great at planes head-on, as my aim with a controller isn't as good as a mouse...it'll take some getting used to I think.

Anyways, I think its only 3 maps because its a download-only game for consoles (and later PC, yes yes). You can't have four theaters of war like 1942 without having a huge download size. Also, I believe Microsoft looked the other way at 1943's download size, as it was a bit large for a 'arcade' game on XBL.

If anything, you will see more maps for PC.

I'm really only playing it for xbox until it comes out for PC in september.

Dice, is in what I like to call: An Experimental Stage. They perfectly planned the releases of Battlefield Heroes and Battlefield 1943 to sync with each other. Both were Battlefield games, both based off of the much older BF 1942. Battlefield Heroes was an experiment to see if a FTP game could succeed, and make a profit just by advertising alone. Battlefield 1943 was the experiment which would see if players were looking for a newer version of 1942. So far, the wide response to 1943, making it the best selling Xbox Live Arcade game in one day, and one of the top downloads on the Playstation Network overnight, should be enough of a signal that a true sequel to 1942 needs to come. Whether this means a Battlefield 3, or it means more 15 dollar downloads as add-on's to 1943, is still yet to be seen.

I like the frostbite engine, its modding abilities are unknown at late, but if the Destruction was made slightly more realistic (like I hope it is in BF:BC 2) it would be excellent, its already fun, and makes for a different experience each time, it just needs a little tweaking.
