All I know is that 1) .avi files are too big for my school's network (each of us only gets 25MB of space- this one would take up almost all of that 2) without the Fraps codec it can't be played or loaded into WMM there. |

So why dont you get fraps? I think you can do this free at zamzar.com, on which you can also download youtube vids. Used it many times. |

I can't download fraps onto the school pc's is why. Any way the problem is solved by clever use of WMM and a flashdrive.  Windows Movie Maker removed the fraps codec (used its own i suppose) and saved it as .wmv. Basically I had everything I needed from the beginning.  I also have a youtube downloading program and Fraps on this pc so yeah, I was talking about needing the video for a project at school. |
