Texas would die a severely crippling and painful death if it seceded. And 99.999% of the population doesn't want to. Ignore those polls that say 75% would say no, clearly they asked the wrong people. All industry would collapse, trade embargo's would be insane, and generally we would not be self-sufficient.

Wonder if they also so conveniently forgot about the Oil in Alaska, the Industrial might of the North East, the Agricultural Center of the world in the Mid West, the Microsoft Headquarters in Washington state, the IV League Colleges not in Texas, amoung other things.


Oh and did I mention that all 50 states have legal right under the constitution to separate from the Union? The United States, no the American Empire.
