So on my new iPod touch, to get on the internet...since i dont have wireless, I have to use one of the motel's internet that is near me. (A few blocks down)

the last results from speed test.net were:

Download: 2513 kb/s
Upload: 3378 kb/s

Download: 1571 kb/s
Upload: 3409 kb/s

Download: 22 kb/s
Upload: 876 kb/s

Well, the last one sucked...

The one's before that probably averaged around 1420 download and upload.

Quite slow.

My home wired internet connection is:

16000 kbps down
2000 kbps up

So, that comes out to:
2 Mega Bytes per second download
250 Kilo Bytes per second upload.

It's awesome. And cheap. And I lose in when I go to college and have to suffer through their normal-person connection.

The thing that is annoying is that Internet bandwidth is so limited. Those ethernet cables can maybe reach a maximum of 10 mb/s, and a fiber optic cable slightly faster than that. But you Digital Cable, or your Satelite TV receiver, has 3 to 4 Gigabytes of bandwidth delivering your TV to the receiver. Imagine having HTML for one of those receivers, no rendering, ever.

HELP! I'm an idiot!

HELP! I put the internet to my modem, and it works fine...but now i need to get my dreamcast back online.. (Seriously for some Q3A, PSO) and none of my routers are working..
