Battlefield Modding Tutorials BFMODS

Hey guys, well upon a recent discovery, I'll be releasing a mod in a few days which you guys can use on your favorite non-content-checked servers for fun. I'm using the pun Iron Cross, as in Iron Crosshair, because its just what it says, 3d Iron Sights for the vanilla weapons, a lot of animating, please pardon the animation quality, I had to completely redo each weapons first person animations, and that included the Reload and Idle animations so the quality is not at its best right now, and a few of them having timing problems but all will be fixed soon!

It was designed primarily for a Midway match, due to the fact that I usually spend my time on 5th Marines, so not all of the weapons will be finished in the first release, and those that are in progress may look strange.

This will also include my sound tweaks, and a few of the effects tweaks I did as well (watch the planes explode).

I'll let ya know when its ready, and post it up on here for you to download!

Alright heres the first version, d'l quickly if you want it because im not sure how long this link will remain active.

Installation is as usual:

Extract the folder within the .zip into your Battlefield 1942 mods directory, then navigate to the bf1942 mod folder and find the init.con there.

Open the init.con with Notepad and add the line:

game.addModPath mods/bf19422/ right above the similar line which says game.addModPath Mods/bf1942/

Well, something isn't right. First, though, good work on the animations. (especially the exploding planes). BUT. There is a serious issue with your patch, if you try to throw a nade or an expack, your game crashes.

That must be a unique problem, its never happened to me

Heres an updated version which does a few new weapons, fixes some old ones, and gets rid of some buggy code which use to crash the game.

Delete your old bf19422 folder before installing.
