The MD5Tool mismatch on just Objects.rfa and Textures.rfa will not get a person banned, since the md5tool is not reliable and there is no proof that the person didn't just delete a rem'd line from a file and thus made no change.

The person was banned off the screenshots, which appears to have neon-colored textures.

Either way, the people are PunksBusted are a bunch of morons. I once had a server streaming to their index. And from what I saw in the administrator section, I decided that all the bans aren't necessarily supposed to be banned.

Well no, the client can't make weapons more accurate, but they can get rid of screen shake, fog, useless static objects like bushes, and etc. Basically anti-server-side modding, everything graphical CAN be modded by a client but they can't change what the server can like ammo, health, accuracy, gravity modifiers, etc.

Of course, I only play BF1942 on Pure servers which enforce such consistency. DC/Final is a bit more shaky, but I just assume that nobody else is cheating and proceed to play as normal. Oh well, I'm too optimistic about people sometimes I suppose.

I was surprised how many people hack...notably on our pure server(regular 1942). I'm sure theres lots more on DC. Just to give you an idea, we've caught 7 in the past month.

However, I like to make sure when I catch a hacker, I copy their IP, keyhash and name, and then confront them about it while they're still playing, belittle them a little bit, ban them, and then inform the other players that the screenshots will be available on our forum.
