I like our current system, but I hate our current officials. I think the system should remain fundamentally the same, but the rules have to be changed. For instance:

Any person found with outside influences, siding their votes or opinions in one direction or another, should immediately be banned from the steps of any government building throughout the united states, this includes the White house, the House of Representatives, the Senate, the Congress, and any other position, either state or smaller. Currently, when someone is believed to of had to have outside influence, they are investigated, but even if they are proven to have been involved with outside influence, and even if they changed their votes or opinions because of it, they get a slap on the hand. John McCain should have been banned from politics, just as the other five senators involved in the Keating scandal, it makes no sense to keep these men in office, they are proven to be easily bought.
