I run my own forum over at http://tko.jconserv.net and I was wondering how you set up having admin colors for yourselves? I figured out how to give colors for admins and moderators in the "Who's Online" section, but I wanted to know how to assign colors to my name when I make an actual post. You forum setup could be very different from mine, but if you could get back to me when you can I'd appreciate it!

I run a phpBB forum and was also wondering how this is done. Like admin is yellowish-orange, mods green, etc.

This is running PHPBB3 RC3 right now.

You're using a crappy free-forum hosting service for PHPBB2.

I used to use hosting that cost $2 a month, it's very simple to get extremely cheap hosting. I mean, go to the mall and pick up quarters off the ground and you can buy a few months of web hosting.

I know its possible in a phpBB but its very annoying because it tends to not want to work right. Supposedly you just use the backup and restore database function and make sure its the same version on both sites but it never worked too well for me.

Most free forum hosting services use modified versions with special tables and add-ons just to make exporting to a real phpbb installation difficult. Plus it's still phpbb2.
