Well, it drops so slow because the mass is low. I think, it drops at a relatively slow rate. Almost like a normal soldier would.

lol last I checked a soldier doesn't drop slow. Not without a parachute anyway....

But alas as of yesterday, I revised my coding for the vehicle drop. It's no longer "on a timer" so to speak. I figured out that if I customized the collision mesh for the chute PCO so that it has pointy triangles facing downwards (as in the pointed ends is what touches the ground), that it optimized the collision damage done to it when it (softly) hit the ground. Even when I customized the damage system and lowered the hitpoints and raised speed mod and angle mod, the PCO still wouldn't die when it hit the ground. Sure I could probably speed it's descent a bit. But I liked how it was. So it was when I tweaked the collision mesh was when it worked.

Now it automatically dies when the vehicle hits the ground so that the Parachute goes away right on cue. :P

I bet Dice looks at our mods and thinks "we suck..." Especially stuff FH and BG42 and DC. I mean really. there's like very few CSM problems that we can't solve in one fancy way or another, usually just with stuff working behind the scenes. it's awesome! and it looks great Tankerbot!
