hey you guys, i've been asked several times to make a gmax tutorial for people who are new to this amazing tool.
first you need to get a hold of gmax, you can download it . then install the gmax plungins from the Mod toolkit.
ok so I made some videos using a program called Camstudeo. basically it just records what happens on the screen and through out the tutorials I speak into a microphone so its a video tutorial with audio instructions going on as well.
here's the link to the zip file: I highly suggest watching them in this order: box tut, copy tut, editable mesh tut, then bunker1 and bunker2.
the main idea of the tutorials is just to give you an idea of the main uses of certian tools and create a simple bunker (as Iced Earth requested). i'd love to make some more tutorials for gmax for you guys so give me some input on what you would like to see in a tutorial. also give me some feedback on the actual tutorials them self as in am I being clear enough or did I move to fast ect. there's quite a jump from the editable mesh tut to the bunker ones so if you have any problems please post and i'll help you out.
Making the staircase was good, editable mesh, and the bunker for sure. I think its hard to ask questions about something you don't understand, so if I do ask questions now they will be better.
